I am from Hong Kong. I was brought up in Hong Kong, studied in Australia, lived in Canada but ended up in Hong Kong as all my family members are in Hong Kong. There is a lot of momentum in this metropolitan city. You can see all the local and international labels here. You also have all the west and east designers fashion so you can mix and match.
What made you decide to become an image consultant?
I have been sensitive to colours since I was young. I would match the similar colours to give a harmonic tone. After I learnt the colour wheel from the Colour Me Beautiful, I found it more interesting in contrasting colours, all the tone, depth and clarity of colours that matters. I always like to see people dress in their best and I am actually giving advice to my friends on the fashion trends, mix and match all along.
Did you have a different career before?
Yes, I was an IT project manager before in a worldwide bank which gave me chances to understand the lifestyles, needs and wants of high-end successful business professionals.
What is your favourite type of consultation?
Style! I believe no one is perfect and everyone is unique, it's about how to understand yourself and bring the best parts to impress people by matching your personality, figure, colour and touch up with make up and accessories. Every little thing can make a different.
Purple, Violet, it is a combination of red and blue. Variation in colours will give a sense of luxury, romantic and imagination.
How would you describe your own personal style?
My style is City Chic, I like to see trendy fashion and only pick those that I can wear well. I believe people should dress according to their personality and more importantly the occasion. For example, if you are a lawyer or politician, your dress code to work should always be Classic. If your preferred style is something else, you should wear it during non-office hours.
How do you keep up with the trends?
Fashion TV, magazines and check out all the small, medium and big shops in HK.
What did you enjoy most about training to become a consultant?
Being trained by Eve in Colour Me Beautiful, I've learned the style consultation. I learned not only the theory and practical tips but also how to set up my own consultation business. I also keep hearing news from Colour Me Beautiful on the ongoing fashion tips. I also enjoy occasional activities that I can further network with the other consultants. They are like a big support behind all the consultants, it not only provides consultation to us but also products that can assist for our consultation.
Where are your favourite places to shop?
US Factory Outlets where you will find all the local and designer labels with good prices.
Do you have any fashionable words of wisdom to share?
"Clothes make the person". Always dress so that people will notice the best part of you, do not let your clothes become the focus.
